The word “change”, or as it is commonly used, is believed to refer to the only thing in life that is, like the universe itself, always on its axis. However, for any kind of change to last, positive or negative, it must be consistent!
Many people today want to make positive changes in their relationships, finances, emotions, and marriages. There are also many others who are trying to improve their negative experiences but are disappointed, disillusioned, and frustrated.
It’s likely that the change they experienced was not permanent. It was short-lived and temporary. It seems almost impossible to change a negative attitude, lifestyle, or experience.
You could lose weight, get rid of drugs, stay committed to a relationship, or manage your finances.
Whatever the reason, I am honored to share three principles that can bring about lasting change.
Step 1: Make a Demand on Yourself to Raise Your Standard
If a man stands for nothing, he will be unable to stand for anything. Rarely has someone experienced lasting, positive change without first raising their standard.
This is the only way to change anything.
You will not make a difference in your generation unless you set a higher standard and stop settling for less.
Men who settle for less are not making history. We were inspired by the lives of icons like Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Helen Keller, Rosa Park, and many others who, despite the difficulties of their decisions, stood tall and placed high value on themselves.
We wish that we could be like them.
We often forget to recognize that we have the same power as them. They were able tap into the inner resources and powers of their bodies, and that we can use the same universe. But that is only if you are willing and able to make a change in your life.
Step 2: Change Your Limiting Belief
We are all affected by our beliefs. It is our negative beliefs that limit us in our lives. Limiting beliefs can limit your potential, while empowering beliefs can make it possible!
This will not do you any good if you don’t first get rid of your negative beliefs. This attitude is anticlimax! This attitude is anti-climax! It is your belief in something that gives you the confidence of what is possible or unattainable. This will give you the ability to try or give up on yourself.
You can tap into your inner potential if you learn to feed yourself with empowerment beliefs and not disempowering ones. Your belief is what will determine your life, your destiny, and everything else. Your thought, feeling and experience.
Change your beliefs if you really want to see lasting change.
You will crash like a deck of cards if you do not believe you can raise your standard. You can only believe you can, and that you can, if your standard is raised.
Your conviction, which is a result your belief, will be the key to any lasting changes you wish to see in your own life.
Are you convinced that you can lose weight? You can quit using drugs? You can be loyal to your spouse. You can achieve success in your efforts to do what you set out to do.
You can tap into your inner resources and powers by being certain of what you want. Be focused, believe, and be dedicated to it.
Step 3: Make use of the power of an effective strategy
How do you plan to achieve the change you desire? A strategy is necessary if you want to see real change.
It is said that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
You need a plan to accomplish your goals. To be successful in all aspects of your life, you must have a strategy. Why?
A well-planned strategy will help you reach your goals faster. This will save you time, money, and resources.
